Don't Stop! 15 Things About Counter Strike New We're Sick Of Hearing
Counter Strike New Revealed
Valve finally revealed Counter Strike New after weeks of rumors. It's a major update to CS:GO that will put it on the Source 2 engine.
It also brings sub-tick server updates and smoking grenades that are responsive. It's made a lot armchair gamers go crazy but it's actually an upgrade for the average player.
Smokes
Counter Strike New is getting an overhaul that will completely alter the method of using smokes in the game. The changes, which are dubbed responsive smokes, are a game changer. Smokes will expand to fill up spaces naturally and move around different objects on the map. They will also react to the lighting in the game, making them look better and more realistic. In addition to these new features, smokes will be able to interact with gameplay events, which will open up new tactical possibilities. For instance, bullets can force smoke to briefly make clear sightlines, while hex grenade explosions will disperse smoke occlusion.
The most significant change in smokes is that they will be a more dynamic part of the game. Smokes in previous versions were fixed-shaped objects with a limited scope of movement and blocking. However, the new smokes will now grow to cover the space they're within and block more of the player's view when they are within it. This is a major improvement that will increase the speed of play and will give both teams the same view.
In addition to this, smokes will now react to the surroundings weapons, lighting, and environment in the world space. This will make smoke more realistic and give players to use it to gain an advantage over their opponents. This is especially useful in the chaotic 5v5 matches which are bound to occur on every map.
Smokes are no longer one-way. This was a major issue in CSGO, since it allowed players to see the position of their opponent from behind the smoke. Twistzz is a renowned CS:GO professional who says the new system makes CS2 more fair for both teams.
Other minor improvements include adjusting the position of smoke particles to prevent the visibility of edges and changing the smoke overlay visuals to reflect their camera's position. The expiration time of smokes was adjusted to match the visuals on screen.
Loadouts
The CS:GO players can now alter their weapon selection prior the start of every match. The revamped loadout system allows players to choose the weapon that best match their playstyle and team strategy. The new system adds depth to the game, as players must find a balance between firepower and utility.
In addition to the brand new loadouts, the CS: GO update includes a number of other improvements and modifications. The most important is that the buy menu has been completely revamped. The old buy wheel has been replaced with an adjustable grid that shows all purchase options simultaneously. The grid has been populated with five pistols as well as five "mid-tier" weapons like submachine guns and shotguns, and five carbines and rifles.
The new system is easy to use and will give players more control over their weapon choice. It will let them choose the weapons which best suit their playstyle, team strategy and try out various combinations. They can also compare their gear against other players to see how well they stack up.
Many players have praised the added flexibility, while some have criticized the change for departing from the core essence Counter-Strike. They have also raised concerns about how it will impact map-specific loadouts and agent skins dependent on visibility.
However, despite these criticisms, it is important to note that the new loadout system is still in its infancy and will undergo more thorough testing in the coming months. Some of these issues might be addressed in future updates. It is important to stay updated for more details.
Workshop Tools are included in the update, and can be enabled from the settings menu. This allows community members to create weapons finishes and stickers as also maps. The update will also live the players who are in violation of VAC rules during matches.
The new CS GO update will be released in the coming summer. For now, players can browse the complete list of features and updates by visiting the official CS: GO website.
Sub-Tick Updates
The server updates the world of Counter-Strike in short intervals of time referred to as ticks. Valve hopes to ensure that CS: GO is responsive and smooth. Even the tiniest delay can affect the accuracy of an attack. A new video shows the biggest improvements made to the game, referred to as sub tick updates.
Instead of a 64-tick-update each millisecond, CSGO is now able to use sub-ticks, or as Valve calls them, "micro ticks", to communicate with servers. The client will keep track of each of these tiny increments and send them to the server. The server will then send the updated game state back to players. counter-strike cases Clash will now know the exact moment you fired your shot and jumped, swung or made other inputs.
The video does not cover everything. However, it does explain that each piece of data sent by the client is accompanied by a time stamp and that the server collects all information in chronological order from all players before sending it back. According to the video a CS: GO will be able send twice as much information as 64-tick CS: GO.
This means that even if the tick rate of the game is increased to 128 Hz it will still be able handle your commands immediately. Micro-tick updates also decrease input lag, ensuring that the server responds to your actions without any glitches or delays.
Valve's technical enhancements to the game are only beginning. The company employs particles and dynamic smoke to improve the way smoke interacts with the environment. It's upgrading all maps with high-resolution lighting, textures, and models. All CS cosmetics and weapons will be updated with Source 2 tools and features.
Maps
The next update for Counter Strike New brings new maps as well as some classics that have been updated with facelifts. The updates are currently being tested as part of a limited-test beta. The first set includes an upgrade and a touchstone map which will not undergo major changes in gameplay, while other maps have been completely revamped or rebuilt using the new Source 2 Tools.
Overpass is one of these maps that has been revamped to take advantage the new engine's unified light system. The map's eerie underpass has been flooded with daylight which makes the area more spacious and less crowded. Smoke grenades now expand dynamically in order to fill in spaces, and interact with light.
Italy is a different map that has been reworked. Its texture, lighting and structure have all been significantly improved. The new version is more balanced than its predecessor which was heavily CT focused. Fans can expect a few more classics, like Aztec and Militia to be updated in the near future.
Although many of these maps are still available in other modes, they're not being added to the competitive map pool. The exception is Train which was removed from Active Duty and will continue to be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't yet confirmed whether the other maps that were removed from the pool will be reintroduced.
Helsingin Sanomat is the national newspaper of Finland. The newspaper's latest update has been criticized as controversial. The newspaper has been vocal in its criticism of Russia's actions in Ukraine, and the map draws inspiration from the city devastated by war, Donetsk. The map is called de_voyna and contains numerous references to the conflict.
The developer will release a set of Source 2 Tools for map makers in the future. This will include features such as improved lighting and character reading, as well physical-based rendering systems that produces realistic materials and textures. It will also make real-world objects, such as doors and windows, more simple to use. The update is expected to be released in the summer of this year.
